The mobile gaming market continues to grow, as evidenced by the numerous hits known from personal computers that are transferred to smartphone screens. However, in order to be able to operate them, it is essential that we choose the right model.

Much is said about the gameplayability of the PUBG Mobile version, a hit on the computer and Xbox One that has reached millions of players around the world. However, there are many more interesting mobile titles - Football Manager Mobile, Fortnite: Battle Royale, The Sims Mobile, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. These are just a few games that are worth recommending.

Of course, only smartphone owners with the right performance can enjoy them. All this makes it worth considering what a gaming phone should have in order to provide us with a comfortable, stable gameplay.

Processor and RAM

We will start with two absolutely important parameters. They decide on the performance of smartphones, so it is necessary to analyse them.

First, the CPU. At the outset, it is worth stressing that the number of cores it handles is important, but not the most important. We met many times with 8-core or even 10-core processors, which turned out to be worse than devices with only four physical cores. Where does it come from?

This is due, among other things, to the clock frequency of the individual cores, which reveals their true performance. If this value turns out to be low, I can't count on stable support for games and other applications. Importantly, the timing will never be the same for all cores. For eight-core models, timing is given separately for the first four cores and the last four cores.

Analyzing the current market offer, it is worth recommending, among others, the Exynos 9810 chip, found in the Samsung Galaxy S9 phone. It has 8 cores with very high clock - 4x2.9 GHz + 4x1.9 GHz. Of course, such a phone is quite expensive, so we can bet on an older model of Exynos 8895 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.

Importantly, the processors are also equipped with their own graphics, which are also important. In the case of Exynosa 9810 it will be the ARM unit Mali-G72 MP18.

Of course, RAM also has an impact on the smooth running of games. In this case, there is one rule - the more it is, the better. If you want to be comfortable with all the latest games, you should aim for models with at least 3 GB of RAM.

What else is worth paying attention to?

As we have already mentioned, the most important for gaming smartphones is the processor and RAM. These two components are critical to the handling of new titles. However, we must also remember about the convenience associated not only with the smooth operation of games.

This includes visual impressions that are intensified (or weakened) by the display used. If your smartphone is to be used primarily for games, it would be a good idea to buy a 5-inch model at least. This will provide us with the right working space. The type of display installed and the resolution supported are also of great importance.

For the first issue, we recommend IPS screens as well as AMOLED and OLED screens, which ensure high quality of the generated image. As far as resolution is concerned, the higher the resolution, the better. Full HD smartphones will prove sufficient, but there are also 4K models on the market. In addition to the image, sound is also important. This one should be supported by the latest technology, which provides the right experience when using speakers and headphones.

Undoubtedly, the battery of the phone also has an impact on the comfort of the game. If the capacity is insufficient, we will have to limit ourselves to short sessions or to playing with the charger connected. Capacity of 3000 mAh is a minimum, although it is certainly worth looking for models equipped with even better batteries. We must also remember that new games weigh their weight, so you should also pay attention to the internal memory and the possibility of using external memory.

Of course, such a smartphone does not have to be used exclusively for games. There are also powerful models available on the market with high quality cameras and many extras. How much do you have to pay for such a phone? We can count on high efficiency in the case of devices whose prices start from about a thousand zlotys.

Gaming smartphones provide a high level of comfort for many titles, so buying them is a great opportunity to leave your computer or TV for a moment and take care of mobile gaming. But before we choose this only model, let's carefully examine all available solutions.
